Front axle thrust washer direction for chevy k1500

Having a senior moment. Can't remember how the thrust washer is suppose to go in the front axle of 1994 Chevy k1500. Working on the RH axle. The thrust washer is the one on the differential side of the axle tube. Which way does the bent up tab face. Does the bent tab face up towards the differential or down towards the cv axle? The two grooves on the axle tube for the washer are different depths. Which one does the bent tab go in? Deeper groove or the shallow one?
