Acceptable Generator Wiring?

I hope I didn't get too creative here. Is it acceptable to wire 2x20A outlets off a 30A inlet? Thinking being that the 30A twist lock on my generator is not protected by a 30A breaker but rather a pair of 20A breakers. The two outlets would share a neutral and use 12/3.
