Cap OR Replace Therapy Jets in Fiberglass pool

Had leak company find leak in pool... is one of the therapy jets. When the tech was over here he said there was just ONE option, jackhammer the deck, find the pipe, and cap them.... because the inside would look "patched" if he replaced it because fiberglass covers the fitting. However the company sent the estimate with TWO options - replace or cap off. So don't know if the tech talked to someone more knowledgeable and found you could replace without messing up the inside around the jet, or what. So guess I have a couple questions for you guys.... 1) can they chip off the fiberglass around the fitting, replace the jet, and put something over it that wouldn't look like a patch, and 2) if we went with the option to cap, couldn't they just cap the ONE leaking jet and leave the other ones working? I'm a single female so don't know poop about the pool plumbing... I only know what the joints look like coming to the heads of my sprinkler system from a line..... so I just envision the jets coming off of one line and capping one wouldn't be a problem. Any suggestions/comments. Thanks much!!
