Maytag QuietSeries 200 deaf & dumb

Have been having trouble with the handle sticking, but otherwise unit worked ok. Then it died, no response to any keypad buttons except for Cycle Select, which still does toggle the 4 cycle LEDs. I took it apart and found the handle was broken. The micro switches seemed ok, at least until I destroyed one trying to unplug it from the harness. Have installed a new latch assembly with new switches and see the same behavior as before. So much for the low hanging fruit. What's my next move? Fortunately we're not hosting thanksgiving this year.
