Am I crazy or do LED lights appear 'whiter' than CFLs?

I've bought a few different LED retrofit kits and all of them appear to be a little whiter than their CFL/incandescent counterparts at the same CRI and color temp. The Cree TrueWhite is the closest I got and what I ended up settling for. Am I nuts? Thanks for any info!
