I just installed a new entry door and security storm door for the front of my house. I am by no means an expert, just an amateur DIY'er. I did this install this past Sunday. Took me all day (literally, about 12 hours) due to the fact that the rough opening wood frame was completely rotted, then I had a door that was 2 inches too small and had to run back/forth to Home Depot several times. I was able to fix the rotted wood by framing/installing a 36" RO using 5/4 x 6, then I had to frame out the door further using 1x4" to make the 32" door fit. This is for a house with brick left side and wood right side.
