Brand new engineered flooring - is Bona a safe product to use for cleaning?
We just installed brand new red oak engineered flooring and it came out beautifully. We're absolutely in love with it. Now that it's installed, as far as cleaning these floors, we already know to avoid using anything with waxes, ammonia, or other harsh chemicals, so we definitely won't be using any of those. I was initially planning to use just a bit distilled water in a spray bottle with a dry microfiber mop for cleaning once or twice a week (we have 3 big dogs - it will need regular cleaning), but I just found a new bottle of Bona hardwood floor cleaner in the back of our cleaning supply closet that we've obviously never used since it's completely full. Would this be a safe product to use to clean our new floor, or would my original idea of just plain old distilled water be our safest bet? We definitely don't want to ruin the finish of these floors and we absolutely don't want to use anything that will leave a buildup of junk on the floor over time. We want to take the best care of these floors as we possibly can so we can keep them looking great for many years. Any input would be appreciated! :)
