Furnace won't kick on! Single stage forced air gas
Hi guys,
So here's the deal. For the past week or so, my furnace has stopped kicking on by itself and I've had to bang on the front of it for it to kick on. However, this morning it would not kick on at all even after I banged it. After opening up the front panel, I noticed that none of the lights (green or red) on the inside were lit up at all. I checked the breaker box and no breakers were tripped. The thermostat is set to heat and it does click when you move it (and that was just replaced last winter). My landlord just changed the air filter the other day (although, he just shoved it in there and it's all bent up and looking a mess.. anyway).
The circuit board itself looks fine, and all of the wires look fairly new and they all seem to be connected tightly. When I tried to turn the fan ON, it didn't turn on either.
So, my question is.. what the heck do I do?? It's a Philco Nordyne single-stage furnace.
Thank You!!
