Where are those generic meds made?

We are transitioning from my wife's company health insurance to both of us being under medicare. We just had a sit down with a company rep that is one of several that takes over the management of medicare and adds their own options for secondary and prescription coverage. When he got very specific about all meds must start out as generic, no previous medical decisions would be accepted, and then THEY would make the determination IF a name brand was necessary I became a bit suspicious. This company also owns their own pharmacy operation. So where are those generic products being made? I looked at a couple of over the counter pills I have and saw no "Made in America" symbols. Is it a case that they do not have to disclose where theer products come from like some other products? I could do some searching, but I thought a discussion here might have side benefits beyond my initial curiosity. Somehow it just bothers me to think that we might be pouring a ton of money into foreign pockets from these health insurance programs where the bottom dollar is their primary concern. Bud
