millivolt fireplace from analog to digital

hi, i have a few questions about changing my mercury t-stat to digital t-stat for my freplace. this is my first time so please bare with me if i use the wrong terms. i have a millivolt system and the standing pilot is always on. i live in canada and this is a 2 wire system Black(red) and White.
