phone line
My mother-in-law lives in Florida and recently she began having problems with her land line phone. Whenever she receives a call it is quite static. She called repair service and they checked it out and said sure enough there is static. They also told her the underground phone cable might be faulty. The phone cable goes from a box on a pole across the street underground to her house and hooks in at the interface on her outside wall. The repairman said it is her responsibility to fix the cable. Where I live (in Pa.) it is the phone company's duty to fix a problem from the pole to the interface. Can anyone tell me who is responsible to correct that problem in Florida? Thanks.
