Smelly hot water....
I'm guessing that because we have well water and a water softener, that the anode rod has exhausted it's life because our water is very smelly!
While doing some research on getting a replacement rod, I'm not sure that we even can?? Our electric hot water heater is a Sears Kenmore PowerMiser 9T model 153.327464. (Not sure of it's exact age, but thinking about 10 years old??)
I'm guessing that this rod is "not replaceable" according to the parts list? Water heater works fine otherwise...just smells awful!
Any suggestions on what we should/could do to remedy this? I really hope we don't have to purchase a new water heater just to stop the smell!
