What order to snake all drains?

Have an ongoing issue with washing machine drain and have decided to rent an Auto Feed Drain Cleaner 75' X 1/2" from Home Depot. The unit cleans 1 1/4"- 3" diameter lines up to 75 '. Since I will have the machine, I am thinking I will clean all of the drains that this unit will clean. My understanding is that I can do my tubs, sinks and laundry drain and that my Toilet drains require a larger unit (true ?). The house was built in the 60s. Were the toilet drain pipes 4" then? My main question is in what order should I snake my drains? Furthest drain first or last? Two story Cape Cod.
